I have a new favorite technique, and watch out. I’m using it on anything and everything that I see!
See the pretty glitter up there at the top of this post?
I. Can’t. Stop!
The technique for these is super simple, with the help of Martha Stewart adhesive backed stencils and her glitter transfer sheets. It’s pretty much: put down stencil, paint on adhesive transfer medium, remove stencil and let dry for a few minutes, then (my favorite part!) burnish with glitter transfer sheets. Voila! I have to admit, I did play a little bit with the dry time, and with different tools to get the best “burnishing,” but hey, if that’s working, who’s complaining??
Now, there was a reason behind all this playing, and if I’ve sparked your interest a bit, you may want to practice yourself. I’ve got a super cute project coming up that uses this technique!
Have fun!

I'm using the glitter paint right now, too, for some Christmas projects....LOVE IT!
I haven't tried her glitter transfer sheets but I'm in LOVE with her new glitter paint! Nearly every painting is getting a touch of glitter, ha!
Beautiful tags, btw!
