Dear Doers and Dreamers, I really thought that when I was contacted by Alexis that I was being scammed. I just couldn't believe a member of Martha Stewart's staff wanted to talk to me and had nominated me for "Doer of the Week"! I am a new member of this wonderful "DOER" group so I am just getting to know some of you but I am so honored to have my business highlighted in the newsletter. I love the title for the article Alexis, your play on words "Pretty in Ink" was great. Last year I worked on nine weddings and learned more with each job that I worked on. I started slow to build my confidence and networked with local businesses in the wedding and party industry offering to do samples for their showrooms to show my work to their clients. (Free advertising!) As mentioned in the newsletter I donated my service to my church bazaar for a silent auction and also to a local museum charity auction. Every job has different paper, inks and pens so every job varies and every job has to be customized for the client. That sometimes makes my work difficult but I am always learning and always challenged. I brag that I have made many brides (and their mothers) happy with my work and thank goodness I have never met a Bridezilla! Thank you for this wonderful honor. Please visit my flickr website to view more of my work.
Humbled and happy in Pennsylvania,
Karen Keller-Eyer
