mix tapes are rad.

if you, at any time in your life owned a double cassette player boom box, you probably agree.

coincidently, we couldn’t think of a better back to school gift for my boy’s teachers then to put together some mix CD’s.

we chose the following mixes:

mix no. 1: study jams {think instrumental},

mix no. 2: party tunes {think age appropriate, good rhythm + catchy lyrics},

mix no. 3: feel good beats {think colbie caillat}

now, in the name of all things cute we decided that a plain CD envelope just wouldn’t suffice.  so, we conjured up this simple apple design and because we know how busy the back to school season is for you mamas, we want to share the tutorial.

no sewing machine?  don’t let that stop you…  try making one by hand.  you’ll be surprised how fast it will go!  OR, ask to borrow a friends sewing machine.

you can find the free download  H E R E.

we also have new back to school patterns + toots in the shop:

What a fantastic idea! As a former teacher, I absolutely agree. Teachers LOVE music and it's great to have some great cds at hand.
