A Day of Making Soap Gifts

I spent the whole day with my daughter making dozens of goat's milk and oatmeal soaps for gifts. I scented the green with a buttery peppermint fragrance and the pink soaps with a rose vanilla. We wrapped them up pretty and they are ready to go. Each year I give all the nurses in my husbands clinic handmade soaps, bath bombs and other goodies and they love it! It's a joy to make for them because I know how…

Cranberries All The Way, Happy Holidays

It seems I become nostalgic every year, luckily Sydney has embraced our family tradition. During the time between Thanksgiving and New Years we bake a plethora of cookies, cakes, pie, and pavlovas. Christmas Children's Wool Bamboo Cowl

Do I hear sleigh bells?  My 3 year old sure does.  EVERYTHING is about the ever-fast approaching Christmas and so my inspiration for the colors of this children’s cowl are santa, candy canes, and my favorite scandinavian designs I remember from my own childhood.

I crocheted the cowl in bamboo wool yarn.  Haven’t used it yet?  It’s a MUST for kids (although you will end up making something for yourself also, I can gaurentee it) because it holds the…

Cute and Lovely Christmas Snowman Cake Pops, perfect for the holidays.

Just like with any other holiday: It's coming so fast! Before you know it you have so much stuff on your to-do list that you get very stressed-out and this, at least for me, is no fun at all.

So I thought to post my Christmas Snowman Cake Pops now instead of in December.

When I make my baking plans for holidays, I usually look stuff up 1 or 2 months early and start planning what to bake, what to cook, how to decorate my place etc.

And when I recently thought of making…
