My name is Kate Landers, and I believe that every child deserves to be celebrated.

I would absolutely love to learn more about you, and what aspect of a party planning business you adore most (style & design, dessert tables, decorations, favors, cake design, business growth & development, social media/marketing, graphic design/imprintables, custom party products...the list goes on and on!)

Since childhood I have been creating children's parties for my younger sister Julia (starting at the age of 10), and never stopped. In 2009 I decided to combine my passion for styling events, my adoration of children, business degree, and creative ideas into Kate Landers Events, LLC.

Frustrated with the lack of classic, eco-friendly and stylish party ware out there, I decided to create and launch my own line! You will see my custom party products for children--products that are classic, stylish, custom, most are hand made, and almost all I designed or co-designed--all in my online shoppe. My real passion is for designing parties. I believe every child deserves to be celebrated, and I enjoy creating experiences for children rather than just another celebration. I believe that nurturing a child's imagination and celebrating them helps them develop a stronger self esteem and greater knowledge and understanding of just how precious and unique they are, and that they are indeed capable of achieving their dreams. I much prefer designing an event where a child feels like their favorite storybook character, rather than eating off a plate with that character's image.

In the short time since I launched my business, it has grown, and evolved at a rapid pace. My blog, http://www.katelandersevents.blogspot.com has been a terrific outlet and way to share my work with others, and through my blog, facebook page, twitter and website, I have been fortunate enough to have been noticed and featured on numerous party websites, even published in four publications, including the Summer 2010 issue of Life: Beautiful Magazine, a tremendous honor.

Martha has always inspired me, and inspired me to dream big. I love how she doesn't just keep to herself all that she learns and loves--rather, she shares. Thus, a new idea occured to me. I would have a much greater opportunity at achieving my goal of celebrating the lives of every child, if I could share my gifts with others and help them in celebrating the lives of children.

Therefore, I am creating The Kate Landers Events, LLC, School of Children's Party Design, where I hope to offer expert advice to those who dream of launching their own children's party planning business, perfecting their current one, or just gaining some insight and skills in designing parties for their families and loved ones (not just as a business). I have been overwhelmed with the responses to my announcement of this program I am creating, which will include a panel of experts in all sorts of areas from Social Media and Business Development to Dessert Table Design and Party Styling. While I believe I have much to offer, I am convinced that the program would have a much greater impact with the help of other expert party planners and graphic designers, web and blog designers, business and social media gurus, cake and floral stylists and more.

I dream that one day this program will be available for all who wish to learn about styling a party that creates a truly memorable experience for a child, celebrating their life. Martha is a tremendous inspiration to me on a daily basis, as are many other lovely people I meet.
