What's Your Passion That You'd Like To Turn Into a Business?
My passion...the glamour of the 1930s and the style and attitude of the 1940s. The sounds and era of the Big Bands, an epoch for a quaint Bed and Breakfast Bungalow Kit Home! Inspired by love of vintage, and bungalows, we've restored and recreated a simpler yet pivotal time in history, along with a fundamental passion as an elusive scout seeking remnants of time. The Bungalow transformed into a kitchy, history hands on, guest home Bed and Breakfast July 3rd 2008 and pays homage to the era of the Greatest Generation. The Bungalow offers guests a unique step backward into time during your stay. Hubba, Hubba! We also provide the planning services of Creating Quite The Stir www.creatingquitethestir.com, (Vintage Teas, a passion) and Quite The Stir Bungalow Vintage (Clothing and Products) Visit our collection on ETSY... A kitchy idea and dream that evolved! Turn up your volume and preview www.quitethestir.com and www.creatingquitethestir.com. "Investigate" the home page for the Iconic Women Spy Shows (click on the NY City Picture midway for more productions or events), and view just one of the ways Quite The Stir "gives back"...Childrens Charity "Home For The Holidays" (just click on snowflake within our site for more!) See our press and media page. Taking by surprise by the uniqueness of this quaint Bungalow has been smashing! And, as we love to say on our Blog http://quitethestirbungalowandbreakfast.blogspot.com/ , Bringing back the 1930s and 1940s one guest at a time.

TIMES CREATE THEIR OWN LEGENDS AND HEROES

TIMES CREATE THEIR OWN LEGENDS AND HEROES! WHO BUT PONIED UP FOR THE LEGEND AND GALLOPED INTO AMERICAN CHILDRENS' HEARTS? WHY THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION IS....THE LONE RANGER, OF COURSE! He grinned in the face of death and death in the face! The Lone Ranger had grit and so can all of America..that means YOU!

The epic tall western tale had its start as a local radio show from WXYZ/Detroit and debuted in 1933 as perhaps one of radio’s best-remembered dramas, The Lone Ranger!

Hollywood Rapid Fire, Laser Sharp, Egotistical, Golden Era Speak!

During the 1940s, upper-crust bearing accents and intonations were the rage among American films!

American actors and actresses, politicians and socialites alike, engaged in what some described as rapid fire, laser sharp, egotistical, socialite speak. An example of this type of vocalizing to consider

The 11th Hour Of The 11th Day Of The 11th Month...Can't You Remember?

Oh, indeed, there are some WWII veterans who can yet say, "I was there"! There are some who can yet speak those words with pride of admission "I breathed the common air and fought side by side with heroes who died for America in a patchwork of terror". Do you listen as they, nearly inaudible, tell the

History Sheds a Tear of Pride in 1945

30 Miles South of No Where's Yonder you'll find the Heller twins, Tweet and Rip, hers and his. Alongside of the twins, you'll find two of the dullest, darnedest big hearted "with a lot of tease ripping in them" brothers, Darnell and Guz. Bringing up the rear, sewing the twins in a nice weevil… Continue

Jolene .... thanks so much for visiting my blog and for your very nice comments !! I'm also a fan of the 1930's and 1940's and I try to make my blog similar to the radio shows from the '30's and '40's that midwest housewives broadcast from their living rooms ..... I read about this in Fanny Flagg's book "Standing in the Rainbow" ..... LOVED that book !!! I did a blog post on it awhile back ..... I also just try to make my blog fun ......it's my little escape from reality .....

Also, I see you're in Gettysburg ..... and since you're a WW II fan, have you ever been to the Reading Airshow and WWII reinactment? It's every June at the Reading airport (Reading, Pa) ..... we go almost every year .... my dad is a huge WWII airplane fan and now my 19 year old son is learning to fly, so he loves seeing all the vintage planes ..... in addition to the planes, they have alot of people dressed in the clothing of the era , men, women, kids, and service men and women (both US and German, Japanese, etc) ..... they have an entire French village set up (occupied by the German army) , also a tropical encampment (the Phillapines) with a MASH unit ..... and a typical US WWII era home, radio show, and USO canteen ......

ANYHOW .... thanks again for visiting my blog ! Come back often!
