Cher.... I've never given thought to Bread and wine together! So, why the heck not?!!! Fortunate or unfortunate .. I'm not much of a wine drinker, not that I don't enjoy it but that it goes to my legs in no time flat! I can say though, I drank more drinks when I was younger and occasionally do now if out in a public setting but as usual ... one tastes so good a second one is sure to follow. Two or three and I'm totally Poo Poo'd!!!! I guess it's a good thing I rarely drink! Perhaps I need to eat more bread with those drinks to sop up the alcohol! hahaha

Jolene... alas, no, I don't have a website but will be working on one to share and sell my many creations. No blog either. There doesn't seem to be enough time in a day to do everything and I do lose patience at the computer when in the back of my mind I know I should be doing something else. I've raised birds for the last three years and this spring I had babies from three different clutches. They didn't all hatch at the same time and when it came time to pull babies to band and hand feed I was busy keeping up with them. Too busy! And helping someone else by taking them to radiation treatments and all the busyness was a breaking point. It's my last year breeding and I'm good with that decision. My species of choice are the green cheek conures in two different color mutations and one pair of crimson bellied conures. Here it is fall and I still have a few babies to sell .... which translates to still extra work because I have to handle them all to keep them tame. So... my life is nutty and funny ... and hectic. I have other companion birds as well ... even nuttier! I'm a glutton for punishment but I so love my amazons and what I've taught them to say. Certainly never a dull moment until they are all in resting mode and it can be quite silent here .... SHOCKING!

Thanks for the welcome! I'll certainly be sharing much more of my work. Most likely a few of my portraits painted in oils ( one) and the others are watercolor animal portraits. A client emailed me last night to let me know her beloved shepherd had passed... he was a stunning dog and made a nice portrait. Beyond that there will be hand painted furniture, painted gourds, hand made stain glass pendants, and so many other things. You'll see I have many interests in the creative world! Why aren't there more than twenty four hours in a day.....

Yes, Andrea I am a firm believer in doing what you enjoy, I think art can be so therapeutic and meditative. For years, I had to draw what other people wanted, and redo it if it wasn't what they wanted, now I am my own critic, it is great! It is nice to sell, but those days of freelance are in the past. You should look into a breadmaker, they are such fun, and so are the recipes. I am not such a great cook, but people request my bread for parties and such and it gives me a sense of 'Kitchen Confidence!" The recipes for breadmaking
in a machine can be very exotic, including coconut bread, chocolate chip bread, lemon bread. It's like bringing a bottle of wine - certain breads go with certain foods! Enjoy! Love, Cher

Dear Andrea: Actually, I am not a great baker, but I have this great breadmachine from the 80's, it looks like R2D2 and makes wonderful Golden Egg Bread, I don't do anything but measure the ingredients in and press a button! Yes I do use opaque watercolors on heavy Arches with a technical pen, I am into my fairy/genealogy series, I used to do very labor intensive silkscreens up until a year ago, but this is more spontaneous. I will post the recipe for the bread! Cher
