Purely a designer, believer in spiritualism and someone who understands the form and functionality of design at the holistic level, I love what I do. Creating forms and patterns out of brands, out of love, out of passion. It’s this drive that makes me go to work every single day. An Indian designer, born in 1985, my career trajectory over the past five or so years has been positively meteoric.

I graduated from Rachana Sansad College of Applied Arts & Crafts, Mumbai specializing in Graphic Design and worked with a multidisciplinary design studio Awchat & Olsen Design, Mumbai & Oslo for over two years. Since then I have been running my own firm, Chaiti Mehta Design, specializing in a wide range of projects, from corporate identities, interactive websites, magazines, books and packaging art projects and exhibitions. I have recently collaborated with a luxury design agency, Zoya Couture in Washington D.C. as their Design Director and we create exclusive wedding/personal stationery.

Interviewee at:
ArtFlow Magazine, Issue 12 (London)
Limmie Magazine 3 (Indonesia)
DesiCreative.com (India).

Work has also been awarded and published by curated design publication; Book of the Year, Volume Four (Praquin, France)
Asia Pacific Design No. 7 (Sandu Cultural Media Co.,Ltd. Hong Kong/Guangzhou/Beijing and Design 360°- Concept and Design Magazine).
Mastering Type: The Essential Guide to Typography for Print and Web Design (formerly known as Letter, Word, Sentence, Paragraph) written by Denise Bosler and published by HOW books.

Featured on the front cover of India’s noted design magazine, The Kyoorius Design Magazine 7 and The Kyoorius Design Showcase 2011-12.

Branding organisations/institutions to creating custom wedding invitations, working with art galleries and promoting artists, have always been of deep interest.

Thank you

Regards,

Chaiti Mehta

After 15 years in the Finance Industry and 1 set of twins, I decided I wanted to do something more creative, flexible and where I can again be passionate about work.  I love to work and work hard, but 13+ hours a day on a desk was not doing it for me anymore.  So I partnered up with my sister and we created Chockababy - an online baby book and partner blog.  From the ground up, I've learned about technology, websites, advertising and blogging.  And we are loving every minute of it!

Hi! I have been a deamer for all my life 60yrs so far. I recently wrote a new contemporary short fiction have gotten some great reviews, I now am more of a doer.  "The Best Lady Bug House" has 5 citys locations selling nationally and even in Canada. My new Interactive Game called "Robo Goblet Game" Has been very popular with the 14yr old and adults.  My cartoons have been published going on two years now at Hobopancakes Dot Com. I have many many inventions and not enought time to get them out to the public limited by my time left.  Money or budget limits has always been issues for most doers.  I have found a way to start with nothing and grow.  If I can suggest if you are a dreamer "What are you waiting for?"  I only wish I became a doer sooner!

My name is Michael Setboun. I am thirty two years old and moved from Paris, France to Panama City Beach, FL about two years ago.  I have a doctorate in Pharmacology, and previously worked for pharmaceutical companies in Miami and France.  After living in Miami for a couple of years, I wanted to come back from France to live in the United States.

I have had the opportunity to buy an old school in Alford, FL, about forty miles north of Panama City, Florida.  I realized this was my opportunity to fulfill my dreams and live in the USA.  It may seem a little cliché, but I have had "The American Dream" since I was a child.

I have spent countless hours transforming this seventy-five year old schoolhouse into a luxurious boutique bed and breakfast and event center.  The name of the Boutique Bed and Breakfast is La Maison de Lucy, which means "Lucy's house"... Lucy is my mother!  I have spent my savings, plus more, on this tremendous project.  Today I am more than eager to promote this venue.   The concepts of the Boutique Bed & Breakfast as well as my personal story are very different and unique.  Each of our twelve spacious suites represents a different country around the world, providing an educational experience (each suite is equipped with travel guides, cookbooks, music, and literature of the country it represents for guests to enjoy) for our guests as well as the ultimate relaxation, as we have everything on site to accommodate our guests’ needs including a pool, sauna, massage room, and gym.  We also do all of the cooking from scratch using fresh organic products, introducing our guests to exquisite French and Italian-Inspired Cuisine.

I have provided a few video links below that showcase some of our suites.  Videos of every suite can be viewed on our website.  If you are interested in receiving any further information, please feel free to call me or email me.  One must visit to truly experience the luxury and grasp the unique concept.  I have been working through countless struggles with the people from the area in this tiny town, as I am considered “a foreigner” here since I am from a completely other country, thus making it extremely difficult to reside here.  Sometimes I just want to just throw my hat in because I have been faced with more challenges than one could believe.  However, going through these countless struggles also gives me fuel to succeed, which I know I will once word is spread about this gem “La Maison de Lucy.”  Winning Doer of The Week would be such a great honor and help me in knowing that all my tremendously hard work day-in and day-out is worth it!  PLEASE consider me as your next DID.  Thank you, and I very much hope to hear from you.

Regards,

Michael Setboun

We are two very strong and creative women :)  We both have always had a passion for the wedding industry and knew we wanted to be event planners someday.  It wasn't until we both started having children that we decided to take the leap and begin our own company! We have learned so much through the process over the years, from the business plan to the branding, to all of the little details that we take such great pride in since we started this venture together.  The balance of family and career was always our priority and now we feel so empowered to be able to run a company and take care of our little ones!  We plan weddings & events all across the state of Wisconsin and are always up for travel as well.  We have been loving what we are doing and want to inspire more young people to dream it and believe in it.  Dream. Plan. Blossom.
