Doer of the Week: Tawnya Zebrowski

Business: All-natural baking mixes

Tawnya Zebrowski was born to bake. As a child, she watched her grandmother whip up elegant wedding cakes as a side business and launched her own line of baked goods in 2005. Intially, the brand, Vintage Bakeshop, offered a broad range of wedding treats. But when Tawnya started selling cupcake mixes, she made a decision. "The mixes took over," she said. "It was the most popular item, and I realized that the other products were too labor intensive."

In 2007, Tawnya began selling her all-natural baking mixes exclusively. With quality ingredients such as Madagascar bourbon vanilla and rich Dutch cocoas, the mixes come in unusual flavors including ginger spice and champagne as well classic chocolate and vanilla. The company offers custom labels to personalize the beautiful packaging for any occasion. "The best thing about baking is there's no grey area," Tawnya said. "It's an exact science -- so what's not to like?"
