Sweet Treats

I just love to make sweet treats. Cakes, cupcakes, chocolates, cookies, cheescake. What do you like to make? Lets share photos and discuss our triumphs. Perhaps we can also help others with the "how to" questions when they run in to difficulty.

Made these super sweet Paper Doll cookies that you dress up with fondant cut outs for real. It was a party activity at my daughters birthday party and a huge hit:

I'm so excited to be part of DID!  Have already joined so many great groups.  It's fantastic that we can connect with others who have the same passion.  Congrats to all of you who have your businesses up and running.  Can't wait to see pictures of your beautiful sweets.

Hi Alicia,

I don't actually sell to the public, I have a cookbook Sweets on a Stick which is being released in December and a blog Bubble and Sweet where I regularly post recipes and tutorials on fun party type decorated cookies cake pops and other yummy food.

If you are in the US you might try checking out what has just happened in Texas I know a lot of the Cookie Bakers there are very proud they have just passed home based kitchen legislation. If I remember Sugarbelle has some posts on it.

Best of Luck

Hi Alicia -

Love NYC.. such a vibrant city.  Yes, starting up LOCAL SUGAR here in London, learning a lot of new things (having decided to leave my corporate heels behind of 15yrs..and now replaced them with a sugared up apron!).  Looking forward to hearing more from the other ladies in this group as well.. will spur me on!

HI Melissa, Linda, Passionata Pink, & Venus,

I am Alicia and pick up on your comments regarding kitchens, located in NY I am a small scale processor of gourmet products and also doing advocacy work for them in our state by introducing new legislature to our state government.  I love to learn more about all of you! Looking forward to learning more!

PS And anyone else interested please let me know!

Hi Tanya -

I'm doing the same, but in London.  There's quite a lot of info on our local council website under New Food Business... so may be similar info on your council's website page in Oz?

Hi Tanya,

I am a member of the Planet Cake Tea Party Forum and there are often posts from people about registering a kitchen with local councils. It might be a good idea to check them out.
