So glad you brought up this topic. I am considering the same idea. I would love to hear what others have done also.
I have talked with two shops and one asked my pricing, I gave her about 20% less than my Etsy shop price (this was to buy pieces outright). I think some shops will just take a percentage of sales if it's consignment, I think it varies from shop to shop.
Hi all,
I am batting around a potentional opportunity of selling some of my items to local stores on consignment over the holidays to start.
I will be honest and say I haven't done much research yet (plan to over the next few days) but was hoping some of you have already ventured out in this direction. What is the typical consignment rate?, is there one? or is it all based on individual negotiations with the individual shops?
Any info you may have to send me in the right direction would be really appreciated.
Thanks,
Kristine
Comment by Lindsay ~ Easy Made Invitations on October 26, 2011 at 2:18pm Hi ladies! I have someone that contacted me about an invitation design using an image of a girl in a black dress with long blonde hair for her sweet sixteen birthday party. I generally don't use images (this is just a generic cartoon image that they want to use) with my handmade invitations. I was wondering if any of you girls that do party printables or printable invites would be interested in helping her out? She found one online that she likes, but the background color is not the same as her party theme, so she needs something more custom. If anyone is interested, please email me at easymadeinvitations@gmail.com so I can forward your information on to her!
Thanks!!
