Remember our visit with New York Stem Cell Foundation last January? One of Martha's charities? Well NOW, they need our help.

NYSCF have been nominated to win a MUCH NEEDED grant. They NEED our vote. CLick on the link above and 'Endorse' or VOTE for them. They currently only have 136 votes...Lets show them the POWER in numbers...Please share this and pass it on.

Thanks

Rachel

Oh Mary.....thats terrible.....

I too am watching my aunt suffer terribly with MS...which is of course terminal. One of my dearest friends lost her son at 21...He was attending Notre Dame and died from  a diabetic coma. I have Alzheimers in my family also.

I would imagine EVERYONE here knows or is related to some-one or may even be suffering silently themselves. I hope we can grow this group organically to help in any way we can.....however small...it all helps

@Rachel...I certainly know where Susan is coming from. I pray for Research everyday. Not only am I familiar firsthand with the Crohn's Disease my Daughter suffers from, I am not a stranger to Diabetes either. Lost my Brother at age 35 to Diabetes also a young man from our neighborhood at age 35.  My Cousin has battled Diabetes since a child, now in her early 50's just recently had open heart surgery as a result of Diabetes.  Familiar with MS as I watched a Nun at my Daughter's grade school battle the beginning and middle stages of it until she had to quit teaching.  I firmly believe that Stem Cell holds many answers and thus far has proven to be pretty effective in its use so far.  It will be the future to cures.

@ Mary...it  was so very interesting listening to Susan Solomon as she shared her journey with us. Her son has type 1 Diabetes which propelled her to start this foundation. She talked of such diseases as Diabetes, Ms,Parkinsons etc.....This much needed research seems to be the way forward towards finding a cure. It has to be terrible for you watching your daughter.

@Rachel  I signed up for their Facebook page after leaving my post here.  I've been interested in Stem Cell for quite some time.  Have no clue if it might play a role sometime in the future for my Daughter, but it is a possibility.
