Has Your Business Surpassed Your Dreams?

The Quotation: The dream was always running ahead of me. To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle by Anais Nin is very powerful. How has your passion based business surpassed your fledgling dreams?

Wow, Ms Golightly you are inspiring for sure! This is a great idea Jolene, I can't wait to read dreamer comments here!
I guess I would say I'm still living the dream. It is absolutely thrilling to walk into stores and see products that I designed. The very first time I saw my calendar in Hallmark was a moment I won't forget!
My dreams are big and always growing! LOL There are so many things I want to do, but most of all I have been blessed with a carreer that has allowed me to spend quality time with my family.....and ya know what....that's all that matters to me...really!
Keep smiling everyone! Robin

well, I'm still waiting to see what God has planned for me...I'm a cancer survivor so that dream came true...my art is created for a purpose, mostly donated or given to organizations for their benefit...I have always wanted my art to serve a purpose, since it is a gift from God!

What a great idea for a group! Better than, say, Knitting Club. It immediately caught my eye because - yes - my business has surpassed my dreams.
Please see FlyingWishPaper.com for the big picture.

I created Flying Wish Paper at a time when people need it most. It is a new concept, beautifully inspirational, and inexpensive. Good timing! Flying Wish Paper is a wishing activity kit - for birthdays, holidays, weddings, anything from a prayer meeting to bachelorette party. Just write your wish on the special paper, shape it into a tube and set it on the platform. Light the top and watch it burn down in a small blue flame. At the last moment your wish magically lifts off the platform and rises to the heavens!

From start to finish, this project has been mine alone. I took it from concept to market in only six months. Research, procurement, production, art direction, copywriting, sales, marketing materials, legal, public relations, assembly, shipping and billing: I do it all. And I love every minute of it.

I always envisioned this product’s success, but never thought it would happen so quickly or touch people so deeply. This fun party idea developed into a personal and meaningful product. I hear such great stories, and these build my passion and inspire me to work harder - to bring this product into other people’s lives.

In just one year, Flying Wish Paper is in 150 US stores, and in Germany, China, France, and soon Russia. It is a positive and inspirational experience, and we all need more of those!

In the meantime, I am trying to keep my head above water and look forward to bringing on some at the first of the year. julia

Why am I not surprised by your choice of quote ! Anais Nin...A woman to say the least, well ahead of her time ! Being different is not always easy. I know....
Its funny, the business I set out to build has evolved over a period of 4 years but never as much as it has over the last 9 months.
Whilst, I have challenging and not so easy days, some loaded with stress , I am essentially happier than I have ever been. Good things are happening and not one of those relate to my bank balance!
I have noticed throughout my travels that people are rooted in time by fear. Fear of trying, because they are afraid to fail. I say do it......Women are indeed a powerful force. Since August i have organised a RALLY FOR THE CURE tennis tournament in Dallas (largest in the U.S to date!) Work for HELPS INT charity to send medical teams to Guatemala, fundrasing, silent auctions, live auctions, golf tournaments, built Facebook pages for charity etc. This is where my business has surpassed my dream. It is a by product of RACHEL GAFFNEYS AUTHENTIC IRISH GOODS.
We have a responsibilty to get out of ourselves and give back. Motivating other people to take a chance, to learn something, do something ...Its so much fun.
I think for just a moment I may have caught up and may possibly be living in unison with the dream............oh but wait, no....there are more, time for me to chase them!

My business has surpassed my initial expectations but now my dreams just get larger and larger! I have learned that to achieve your dreams you must work and work hard, but when you are working toward a goal or dream it is no longer work but a joy. I love designing my patterns and traveling to teach. I have always had a passion for fibers and cloth and now that is what I work with everyday. I enjoy watching women and men of all ages use my designs to make items for their homes or gifts for others. My newest patterns have been so much fun because I was able to work with one of my favorite fibers - silk. I am thrilled that some of my designs are making their way into national magazines as projects for many to enjoy. In the last few years I have had projects in numerous magazines. The January/February issue of McCall's Quilting is the latest.

I have also reaped the benefits of traveling across the country to teach my techniques for quilting and working with silk. I continue to dream and realize we can all achieve our dreams in some way.

These words of success beyond expectations are wonderful and so heartening! By giving of ourselves, we receive more in return than ever initially dreamed. Debbie still dreams and teaches others while Teresa...you've created something beautiful from a seed of kindness! If I'm not mistaken, giving is a virtue and to give is to receive! Blog and twitter your success from the roof tops of your dreams! Bravo and Well Done! Carpe Diem from Jolene

To Jolene, Rachel, Robin, Julia, and others in this discussion:
I have been in the wings, compiling and formulating everything posted to date. Remember that Good Golly Ms. Molly's LLC has only been on the market since January 2009.
Good Golly Ms. Molly's LLC, can announce at this moment that 4,000 jars of her 1st masterpiece--Ms. Molly's Appalachian Salsa, has found its way into, you, the buyers hands. Also, "Pauley's Pepper Jellee'" has taken the market by storm and I am happy to report that since its inception in June 2009, we have distributed 2500 jars of this product. I am ready for automation! I am ready for investors! My website is coming along and should be up by January 1, 2010.
I am in awe at the creativity you all have! I thought that I was a creative genius at one point in my life, but I am ready to take the backseat of the 1956 Chevorlette 442, to all of you. The reason I did not apy homeage to the 1940's automoblies is because this is the vehicle that I had my first date in and after we were married; we bought this same vehicle back twice! One similar, is going on Ebay for 40 grand! We talk about goals and we talk about our surpassing our dreams for our business, and I can say that Ms. Molly's has surpassed all my dreams and imagination I had for this business. To be featured at a 5 star resort on thier menus and working on the second one; is a dream come true for my business. In reflection: YES,YES, I feel Good Golly Ms. Molly's LLC has surpassed her dreams and hurdled all the roadblocks in this first year of business. YEAH!
