Hi all,

I wanted to make you aware of an issue with Facebook that my webhosting provider is experiencing.

My website is hosted by SiteSell who had developed a Facebook business page with around 16,000

fans. Last night the page was removed from Facebook do to alleged infringing content. No warning, just an email stating the page was being taken down. If you would like more details you can follow on the SiteSell Blog.

It's scary that a reputable company that has been active on Facebook for years, with no complaints, can be removed without do process.

This really makes me wonder if Facebook is really good for business?

That's just terrible. I feel so bad for you. Can you appeal their decision? I know they do this with personal accounts also, but not quite sure about business pages. Best of luck to you and make sure you keep us posted.
what does alleged infringing content mean ...please explain  thanks  christina

Hi Christina,

I have no idea, Facebook will not say exactly what the problem was.

I am happy to report the page was reinstated along with all content

and followers. If Facebook can take down pages at their whim, I am

seriously considering how much time I am going to invest building

my pages.

So very happy to hear that everything is back to normal. It's smart to be wary of being on facebook, or anything that another company has complete control over.... Just keep up with it. I think you'll be okay. But I can totally understand the feeling of being "burnt" and skeptical. Keep it up for your fans! I am sure they'll miss you :D
You know ....I have heard them taking people down...They were taking Breatfeeding Mom's photos down.....Well those gals got mad and protest out side of facebooks office ...Facebook make"s you walk on Egg Shells   xoxo
I read this and this is disgraceful! I'm sorry you went through that.
