Hi Peggy,

You should be able to ad an opt in form to your Facebook page by using the FBML app. Here's a link explaining how to set up the app.

http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/how-to-customize-your-facebook-p...

Then copy and paste the code for your form into the app.

One of the recent changes Facebook made is to do away with FBML, but this will work for now.

As Aileen said, make sure you use an opt in form, preferably a double opt in, so you don't get in trouble.

Good Luck,

Dianna,

I don't think you *can* "capture" e-mails through Facebook, partly due to privacy....when it comes to e-mail marketing you HAVE to have permission for each person......not having that can get your account shut down....the only way you may be able to is to find a way to put a "ad" (banner type box) from your website....or share a link to your "opt in" through a marketing service, or to your e-mail list...somewhere along the way they should be given an option to clearly say they chose to get your e-mails...."harvesting" e-mails is a major no-no.....I tried to tell some friends I market with that, and because I'm clearing some abundance edges they totally dismissed me...and that's exactly what happened, the constant contact account got temporarily shut down ~ so, take the time to do it right (I lost some really good contacts because they were mad at me, ugh!)  I hope to get a bit more active, MUCH to do on my website and blog, so I'm sure I'll have questions!!

Question: Does anyone know how I can put on my Facebook page a way to capture email addresses that will add them to my newsletter list? I have it on my website and on my blog but I can't think how to get it on my business Facebook page. Does any one know how to do this?

To make a blog great is to put the spotlight on others rather than yourself. People love to be showcased and makes them feel good. I try to promo others to give them some exposure. My philosophy is do good towards others and positive things will come back.
Please come support a wonderful artist-Candle Sweetie, who makes realistic fragranced dessert candles as cakes, pies, and treats. You could win one of her "COKE" candles.
If anyone would like to be showcased or interviewed, let me know.
Thanks,
ArtisticWill Studios.

Recycle Uniquily-there are plenty of templates out there to make blogger look more professional, however, you probably won't be as satisfied unless it were professionally done.  I recommend picking a couple of your favorite blog themes and contacting the owners to see who designed/where they got their layouts.  Most template designers charge $35-$100--which isn't a bad price for the result you're trying to achieve.  Another option would be to look into wordpress--it offers more customizable options but takes a little more patience than blogger.  Last resort, if you're not willing to spend a little money, would be to barter your service/items in exchange for a custom layout from one of your fellow DIDs.  Best of luck with your results!

Let me know if I can help you in anyway!

Hello everyone! I've been going crazy lately researching thousands of blogging secrets and I'm still not satisfied with my blogs look. Check out my blog at http://www.recycleuniquily.blogspot.com

I wanted to make a website but as I looked at some other blogs I realized that making a website would probably cost me money and there is a way to make my blog look like a website! Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! I'm also looking for free photo editing programs. If you have any please let me know:)

Thank You!

This is the group for me! :-)

I can't say how much I'm glad I've found this site. Women are underrepresented online, especially entrepreneurs and home-base businesses. I appreciate the power of women and social media. Skye Media Group is my baby. I specialize in affordable web, graphic, & print design for small businesses and individuals.

I can't wait to start connecting and learning about your businesses. It's motivating just being here!
