Hello Everyone,

I am a stay-at-home mom of a two-year-old and a five-year old (in school). I am passionate about food and would love my career to be in that field. Recently a friend proposed a plan for a soup shop asking if I would like to help/work with her. Of course, even if I wasn't interested in food, I would still help a friend. She has a lot figured out and has been working on this for quite a while and is still open to my input. To give you a little insight, it's mainly a take-out soup shop, in a small town, that also provides some gourmet retail items and one of the big components is to be a green as possible! Right now, I would like to help find the best name possible for the business, something that explains the "green" aspect but also entices customer to eat our delicious soups. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi Christine,
Your story reminds me of a guy who started a gourmet soup company a few years ago, and I guess he did not own a car, so he delivered his soups by bicycle.(very green , but perhaps not by choice). hence, the company name...The Soup Peddler. Brilliant!
Maybe this will get the creative juices flowing.
If I think of any other names...I'll let you know. Good luck.

Hi, Christine:

Here in Portland, Oregon there is soup business called Souper Natural, and another one called Zuppa. (and others) They sell to natural food stores and at the farmers' markets. Maybe those names will prime your pump.

What came to my mind when I read your post was, like the phrase "soup to nuts", .... the Soup Nutz.

Choosing a name is so important; you get to live with it once you've made the decision, so I completely understand your need for input. I kept a piece of notebook paper in my purse and by by bed so that everytime I had an idea, I could write it down. That's how it evolved into the name I landed on................Spice Sisters.

Good luck with this; if I have more ideas I'll post them here.

I see this was posted in October. If you are yet looking for a name I like "Harvest Soups" or "Harvest Green Soups".
